Before I trained in Lip Blush I thought it’s just tattooing lips!
It was something I was interested in as being in the makeup industry for over 22 years and choosing colours, applying lipliners and lipsticks to clients I thought what a great idea!!!
After training and knowing the procedure I saw how gorgeous the results were and how natural looking it was for a boost of colour and lining the lips I WANTED it done!
Also I could experience the treatment and know how my clients felt during and after treatment.
I know working with Tina Davis amazing vegan cruelty free ink pigments that Dusty pink was my colour!
I just love a natural pink and knew with my favourite balm it would look lovely and natural.
I also love a lip liner it makes such a difference as it helps to define your lips out line.
You would have a free Consultation before treatment to do a patch test and go through colours have a chat take your favourite lipstick, lipgloss so I could match.
I booked in the day came and I was so excited but nervous at the same time!
Lady’s I now know how you feel!
The consultant applied some numbing cream and drew around my lip line so she could see where she would be tattooing.
I have had a tattoo and getting your lips done is not like anything I’ve had before! It was like vibrations on my lips with a slight scratch but wasn’t painful at all! I know everybody’s pain thresh hold is different but I was very relaxed and I actually was quiet for a couple of hours!!! Haha ( love chatting)
My consultant frequently reapplied secondary numbing cream to make me comfortable.
Following the procedure I got to look in the mirror and I knew my lips were going to be swollen but I nearly fell of the bed laughing when I saw JUST how swollen they were!!!!!!
I felt like a cartoon character ( secretly loved having plumped up lips) haha
The colour was bright and the liner was prominent but I knew it would all calm down.
After a couple of hours the swelling went down, my lips felt very tight and bruised but not painful.
I just kept applying my cream that I was given in my aftercare pack.
Day 2- was an adjustment as the pigment started to change slightly different colour.
Day 3- My lips were extremely dry and tight and scabs were forming. I just kept applying cream all day.
Day 4- How did I stop myself from picking?!!!!! Scabbing, peeling but I just constantly kept putting cream on and it peeled away and the colour underneath was so natural and absolutely perfect.
Day 5-7 – My lips went through a second layer of thinner peeling.
Day 8-10 – The colour of my lips DISAPPEARED!!!!!
I knew this would happen as it’s normal that the skin thickens as it heals and briefly conceals the ink!
Days 10-30 – I just kept applying my cream and people started to comment that my lips looked lovely and natural. It felt amazing waking up putting on makeup and adding my favourite lipbalm.
Your lips are going to appear many different colours over the first 30 days and peel like a snake!
BUT TRUST THE PROCESS!!!!!!
Follow your aftercare, don’t pick be patient and I promise it’s all worth it!!!!
